Journey Within

Unlock New Realms of Healing with Ketamine-Assisted Therapy

Why Ketamine-Assisted Therapy

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a type of psychedelic therapy and has been shown to help individuals who haven’t found relief from depression with traditional medications. It may also reduce or eliminate the need for conventional prescription mood medications. Ketamine can open the door to deeper connections, allowing you to engage more authentically in the therapy process and with your own inner self—something typically beyond the reach of traditional therapies. It creates space for vulnerability and transformation, inviting a more profound journey of self-discovery and healing.

How Ketamine Works…

  • Activating the Brain’s Magic: Ketamine therapy taps into the brain’s glutamate system, healing conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD with a touch of the unexpected.
  • Unlocking Neuroplasticity: It rekindles the brain’s ability to adapt and transform, restoring connections and pathways that might have been lost.
  • Rapid, Transformative Relief: Many experience a shift in symptoms within hours, offering a swift escape from the weight of traditional treatments that can take weeks.
  • Guided by Expert Hands: Administered in a safe, nurturing space, ketamine therapy is carefully overseen by a trained professional to ensure your journey is smooth and secure.
  • A Path for the Resistant Soul: For those who’ve wandered through the realm of conventional treatments without finding relief, ketamine provides a powerful new possibility for healing...

Your journey begins with a consultation with one of our Ketamine trained therapists. During this session, we’ll review your mental health history, current symptoms, and long-term goals to determine if ketamine therapy is right for you. We’ll discuss the various options available, including oral lozenges, IV, IM, or Spravato (nasal spray), and guide you toward the best choice for your needs. This may NOT be a good fit If you are on Benzodiazepines, have a history of mania, dissociation or certain personality disorders. If you are on a SSRI or SNRI, Ketamine may be a good option.

Based on your needs, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique goals. At Emotion Alchemy Collective we always include prep and integration along with the medicine. If you value a ceremonial space to receive the medicine, our therapists are skilled at co-creating this with you. If this isn’t what you want, that’s ok too.
You’ll have two primary options for receiving your ketamine treatment:

Oral Lozenges: A trusted medical provider will meet with you to prescribe oral ketamine lozenges. You’ll bring these lozenges to our practice for your administration sessions, where they will be carefully monitored and guided by our professional team. We recommend a series of 6-8, 2.5 hour administration sessions.
In-Clinic Administration: Alternatively, you can choose to have your ketamine administered directly in our trusted medical provider’s clinic. This option includes IV, IM, or Spravato (nasal spray) administration, each provided in a comfortable, clinical setting under the supervision of skilled professionals. You will then meet with our therapist between sessions for integration and psychotherapeutic support.

Before each session, we’ll ensure you’re fully prepared and at ease. Whether you’re bringing oral lozenges or receiving treatment in the clinic, we’ll walk you through the process and explain what to expect during your session. Typically, we recommend at least 3-6 prep sessions as we find individuals get so much out of a longer-term therapy approach.

Oral Lozenges: If you’re using oral lozenges, you’ll will get your prescription filled at the pharmacy and take them in our office, where our team will guide and monitor your experience as the effects begin to take place. This is safe and legal.
In-Clinic Treatment (IV, IM, or Spravato): If you opt for in-clinic administration, you’ll receive your ketamine in a secure, comfortable environment. Our trusted medical provider’s team will handle IV, IM, or Spravato administration, ensuring your comfort and safety throughout the session. Note: Insurance tends to cover this option more frequently.

After your session, you’ll remain in a calm and restful space to allow the effects to subside. Our team will check in with you to discuss your experience, offer any necessary support, and provide guidance for your aftercare.

We provide continuous support throughout your ketamine therapy journey. In addition to regular follow-up sessions after each ketamine session, we offer psychotherapy sessions to help you integrate the insights gained during your ketamine treatment. These sessions are designed to help you process and apply the experiences, leading to lasting healing and growth. Your mental health and well-being are our top priorities, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Investment and Insurance

Ketamine-assisted therapy is an investment in your mental health and well-being, offering a transformative approach for those seeking relief from conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

While the cost of treatment can vary depending on the type of administration (oral lozenges, IV, IM, or Spravato), we aim to make the process as accessible as possible. We understand that financial considerations are important, many insurance plans may cover part or even all of your ketamine-assisted therapy, particularly when combined with psychotherapy sessions. Often Spravato is covered by insurance for treatment-resistant depression. Our team is happy to help you with verifying your insurance benefits to determine coverage options.
