Alyssa Baker, LPC

If you are someone who feels weighed down by depression, anxiety, or thoughts of self-harm, or if you’ve ever struggled with suicidality, I offer a safe place to bring the truth of your experience without judgment. I work especially well with people who are seeking both practical skills to help in the moment and a compassionate partner to walk with them through the deeper layers of pain. My training in DBT allows me to help you build tools for regulating emotions, tolerating distress, and strengthening your relationships, while also holding space for your story and your humanity.

If traditional talk therapy has ever felt limiting, you may find resonance in the creative and nature-based approaches I love to weave in. Expressive arts, movement, and time outdoors can offer powerful ways to reconnect with yourself, discover new perspectives, and bring what words sometimes cannot express. My approach is both grounding and expansive—welcoming laughter and lightness, while also honoring the courage it takes to journey into difficult places.

I am passionate about offering inclusive, affirming care for LGBTQIA individuals and strive to make every person feel seen, respected, and valued in their wholeness. If you are looking for a therapist who will offer both tangible skills and soulful support—someone who will encourage reflection, growth, and even play along the way—you may find a good fit in working with me.
